Kallorix
Kallorix or Cyberstaff?
Two UK AI receptionists with different shapes. Cyberstaff is a broad front office across calls and messages. Kallorix is a phone receptionist for trades. Here is how to tell which fits.
The short version
Cyberstaff covers phone calls, texts and WhatsApp, connects to a long list of business software and serves many kinds of business. Kallorix answers phone calls for trades and local services and sends the owner the job by text.
If you run your business through a CRM or a booking system and want your phone connected to it, that points one way. If you run it from a van and a mobile, it points the other.
What we say about Cyberstaff comes from cyberstaff.com as it read on 11 October 2026. Products and prices change, so check their site for the current details. If anything here is out of date, email us and we will correct it.
What Cyberstaff offers
According to its website, Cyberstaff is an AI front office for UK businesses. It answers calls, texts and WhatsApp messages around the clock, books appointments, follows up with callers and hands over to a person when needed.
- Recordings and transcripts of conversations
- Automatic follow-up by text and email
- Memory of callers and their previous conversations
- Call routing and transfers to the right person
- Connections named on its site including Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zapier and Google Sheets
- An enterprise offering for high call volumes
Its site lists trades and home services among its sectors, alongside beauty, healthcare and dental, legal, property, automotive and hospitality.
What Kallorix offers
Kallorix answers the calls you miss as your business, asks what your trade needs and texts you the job.
- Question sets for each trade, kept to the few questions that change what you do next.
- A job text in the same layout every time: name, number, where, what, how soon.
- A link texted to the caller to share their exact location or send a photo.
- An urgent caller can be tried on your mobile once.
- A free time offered from your calendar for you to confirm.
- Your own number kept, or a Kallorix number that rings your mobile first.
Kallorix keeps no audio recordings; the conversation text is kept for 90 days and then removed. It does not answer WhatsApp or texts from your customers, does not connect to CRMs, and treats each call fresh.
Price
Cyberstaff's site says plans start at £30 a month for 100 minutes of talk time, with Growth at £75 a month and Scale at £120 a month, and tailored pricing above that. It offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card.
Kallorix:
- Starter: £39 a month, 250 minutes
- Growth: £99 a month, 500 minutes
- Maximus: £149 a month, unlimited minutes with a fair-use ceiling of 3,000
Kallorix's 7 free days need a card, though the demo of your own receptionist does not. There is no contract. If your minutes run out you are not charged more: your phone rings as normal and we text you the number of anyone you miss.
Their entry plan has 100 minutes and ours has 150. Compare on the minutes you expect to use in a busy month, and ask any provider what happens when they run out.
Why trades choose Kallorix
These are the differences that matter most to a trade business, set against what Cyberstaff publishes about its own service.
- Your callers are not recorded. Cyberstaff lists recordings of conversations as a feature. Kallorix keeps no audio at all, and removes the conversation text after 90 days.
- Built for trades, not every sector. One job, done properly: the questions a plumber, a locksmith or a recovery driver would ask.
- More minutes on the first plan. 150 against 100.
- No charge for going over. If you run out, your phone rings as normal and we text you the number of anyone you miss.
- A text, not a system to log in to. The job reaches you in the same layout every time, readable in five seconds between jobs.
- A pin on the map or a photo from the caller, on a page linked in your job text.
Who Cyberstaff suits
- Businesses whose customers contact them by WhatsApp and text as well as by phone.
- Firms that use a CRM or booking system and want calls logged and appointments made inside it.
- Appointment-led businesses such as clinics, salons and letting agents.
- Businesses that want recordings of calls and automatic follow-up messages.
- Larger operations with high call volumes.
Who Kallorix suits
- Trades whose enquiries are phone calls from people with a job that needs doing.
- Owners who want a text they can act on in five seconds between jobs, not another system to log in to.
- Businesses that would rather their callers were not recorded.
- Trades that need a location pin or a photo before setting off.
- Anyone whose phone can't divert calls, who needs a number that rings them first.
Questions to put to both
- What does it say when a caller asks something it has not been told?
- Are calls recorded, and for how long is anything kept?
- What happens when the included minutes run out?
- Does it ask the questions my trade needs, or take a general message?
- Can I hear it answer as my own business before I pay?
Our buyer's checklist goes through these with our own answers.
How to decide
Count the tools you use to run the business. If the answer includes a CRM and a booking system, a product that plugs into them will save you time. If the answer is a phone, a van and a notebook, you want the job in a text.
The honest test is to hear both. Build a free Kallorix demo from your own website, or from your trade and town if you have no site. It takes about two minutes and needs no card. Ring it as an awkward customer, read the text it sends you, and compare that with what you hear elsewhere. Choose whichever would win you the most jobs.
