Kallorix
Kallorix or the RingCentral AI Receptionist?
RingCentral makes phone systems for businesses, and its AI Receptionist comes from that world. Kallorix comes from the world of a tradesperson with a mobile. That tells you most of what you need to know.
The short version
RingCentral's AI Receptionist is designed to answer calls and get each one to the right person or place in an organisation. Kallorix is designed to take the details of a job and get them to one person, the owner, by text.
If you have a team and departments, routing is the hard part. If you are the team, it isn't.
What we say about the RingCentral AI Receptionist comes from ringcentral.com/gb as it read on 11 October 2026. Products and prices change, so check their site for the current details. If anything here is out of date, email us and we will correct it.
What the RingCentral AI Receptionist offers
According to its UK website, it is an AI receptionist that works with any phone system, and holds a conversation in place of a push-button menu.
- Answers frequently asked questions
- Schedules appointments and captures leads
- Sends texts
- Routes calls by name, location and keyword
- Trained on your website, your questions and answers, or documents you upload
- Supports multiple languages
- Set up without IT support
RingCentral also sells business phone systems and contact-centre software, and the AI Receptionist sits alongside those.
What Kallorix offers
Kallorix answers the calls you miss as your business, asks the questions your trade needs and texts you the job.
- Built from your website in about two minutes.
- Question sets for UK trades, each kept to what changes the job.
- A text to your mobile after every call: name, number, where, what, how soon.
- A link texted to the caller to share a location or a photo.
- An urgent caller tried on your mobile once.
- Your own number kept, or a Kallorix number that rings your mobile first.
Kallorix does not route calls between staff or departments, and it does not connect to a phone system. It is for businesses where the calls come to one person.
Price
RingCentral's UK page for the AI Receptionist did not show prices when we looked. It asks you to contact its sales team. If you are comparing, ask them for the monthly cost, the minutes included, the price of extra minutes and the length of any commitment.
Kallorix publishes its prices:
- Starter: £39 a month, 250 minutes
- Growth: £99 a month, 500 minutes
- Maximus: £149 a month, unlimited minutes with a fair-use ceiling of 3,000
There are 7 days free and no contract. You can build and ring a demo of your own receptionist without a card and without speaking to anyone. If your minutes run out, you are not charged more: your phone rings as normal and we text you the number of anyone you miss.
Why trades choose Kallorix
These are the differences that matter most to a trade business, set against what RingCentral publishes about its own service.
- You can see the price. Ours is published. RingCentral's UK page asks you to contact sales.
- Built for the person every call is for. No departments, extensions or phone system to set up. One owner, one mobile, one text.
- She takes the job, not just the call. Name, number, where, what and how soon, asked the way your trade would ask.
- A pin on the map or a photo from the caller, before you set off.
- Try it in two minutes. Build a demo from your website and ring it. No sales call, no card.
- No contract. Paid monthly, cancelled whenever you like.
Who the RingCentral AI Receptionist suits
- Businesses that already use RingCentral for their phones.
- Companies with several staff, sites or departments, where the job is getting a caller to the right place.
- Organisations replacing a 'press one for sales' menu with something conversational.
- Offices with an IT or operations person who manages the phone system.
- Larger businesses that expect to speak to a sales team and negotiate a package.
Who Kallorix suits
- Sole traders and small trade firms where every call is for the owner.
- Businesses run from a mobile, with no phone system to connect to.
- Owners who want to see the price and try it in the same five minutes.
- Trades that need the job's details, a location or a photo, more than they need call routing.
Routing or details?
It helps to ask what a missed call costs you. In a company with departments, the cost is a caller bounced around or left on hold. The fix is routing. For a tradesperson, the cost is a job that went to a competitor because nobody took it down. The fix is someone who answers, asks the right questions and gets them to you fast.
Those are different problems, and each of these products is built for one of them.
If you are growing
A trade business that takes on staff sometimes moves from one kind of product to the other. If you now have an office, several engineers and a phone system, a routing product may be the right next step. If you are still the person every call is for, you do not need one yet.
How to decide
Count the people a caller might need to reach. If it is more than three or four, look at a product built for routing. If it is one, look at one built for taking the job.
The honest test is to hear both. Build a free Kallorix demo from your own website, or from your trade and town if you have no site. It takes about two minutes and needs no card. Ring it as an awkward customer, read the text it sends you, and compare that with what you hear elsewhere. Choose whichever would win you the most jobs.
